Bonjour Mesdames et messieurs!
Anne and I are very excited to announce that our 2017 FoCA trip will be a luxury cruise down France’s Rhône River which has been a hub of wine culture since ancient times. The Côtes-du-Rhône region is most famous for its Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine as well as its picturesque villages dotting the valley along the river.
Our mode of transportation will be the AMA Waterways' deluxe riverboat, AmaCello. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of cruising a European river “in style” on one of these magnificent boats, you are in for a real treat. For those of you who have had the opportunity to take a river cruise, you’ll understand what we're saying.
Also, because some of our FoCA’s have constraints regarding their vacation time, we are offering two options for this year’s tour program. Option #1 will be a cruise-only program and Option #2 will be a combination cruise and a three night stay in Marseille. Hopefully this will allow those with limited vacation time to join us for our 10th Anniversary tour on one option or the other.
For the Option #2 FoCAs, after the cruise, we will transfer to Marseille, a rich, exciting sea port city bubbling with history. Marseille is also the site of the famous island prison Château d'If, one of the settings of Alexandre Dumas' adventure novel The Count of Monte Cristo. Too cool! Our accommodations in Marseille will be at the magnificent InterContinental Hotel Dieu.
As always, please feel free to invite any of your friends that you think might be interested in joining us. We always enjoy meeting and making new friends!
Anne and I hope that you can join us on our 10th annual FoCA sojourn because it is truly going to be very special! And please, feel free to call us at any time at 720-733-2045, including evenings and weekends, with any questions that you may have.
Thank you for being our friends and Anne and I are looking forward to being with you on our magical cruise down France’s beautiful Rhône River!
Carl & Ann
