Dear Friends,
Greetings from Castle Rock! Anne and I hope that all is well with you and your families
and that you survived last years Friends of Carl & Anne (FoCA) inaugural trip to Greece
without having done too much damage to your minds and bodies. As for me, it only took
three months for me to start walking straight again! Anne and I have decided that we are
going to be in tip-top shape for this year's trip and have been training hard to prepare
ourselves for the upcoming bacchanal this October.
Speaking of "this year's trip and bacchanal," Anne and I are very excited to announce that
we have selected Bordeaux and Paris, France for our 2009 FoCA trip! I had the pleasure
of being in Bordeaux and Paris last fall and experienced the exact trip that we are proposing
to you. It was my first time to Bordeaux and what an "eye opener" it was for me.
As most of you know, I have traveled the world extensively for the past 39 years and have
seen and experienced some of the world's most historic and beautiful destinations. I can
honestly say that the Bordeaux region of France is as good as it gets for a "dream
destination." Couple that with a four night
"wine-down" stay in Paris and you have the perfect vacation!

Anne and I hope that you will join us once again for this year's trip if at all possible. We can
guarantee that the 2nd annual FoCA trip will be every bit as interesting, exciting and just
plain fun as last year's trip to Greece. We are sure that a memorable time will be had by all!
